E. Robert Cotter, Managing Partner & Co-CIO

 

Prior to co-founding Merritt Capital in late 2004, Bob was Co-Head of Global Corporate Finance and a member of the Group Executive Committee at Deutsche Bank.  Before that he was Co-Head of Global Mergers and Acquisitions and a member of the Investment Banking Management Committee at Salomon Brothers, and its successor, Citigroup.  He began his career at The First Boston Corporation, becoming a Managing Director in 1986 and Head of the Mergers and Acquisition Group in 1988.  He graduated from Princeton with honors in Economics (B.A.) and with honors from the Harvard Graduate School of Business (M.B.A).

 

N. Thomas Kirkpatrick, Managing Partner & Co-CIO

 

Tom Kirkpatrick was most recently a Managing Director and a member of the Investment Committee for UBS Alternative Investment Solutions (AIS) based in Stamford, CT. AIS managed peak assets of $48 billion in bespoke and co-mingled multimanager hedge fund portfolios. He joined UBS in 2000 as a Senior Investment Officer for the then O’Connor Multimanager investment team, which became AIS in 2004.  Prior to joining UBS, he was Vice President of Lookout Mountain Capital, Inc. where he co-managed a portfolio of hedge funds while overseeing hedge fund manager research. In addition, he was contributing editor to the Lookout Mountain Hedge Fund Review, a hedge fund research publication.  Tom has over 33 years of investment experience including 19 years researching and managing hedge fund portfolios.  Tom holds a BS in Chemistry from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

 

 

Ramona A. Adams, President & COO

 

Ramona joined Merritt Capital in June, 2007 and has more than twenty years’ experience in the financial services and management consulting industries.  She began her career as an investment banker with Ehrlich Bober & Co., moving later to Prudential Securities’ Project Finance Group and then joining Sheffield Consulting Associates Ltd., where she became a Managing Director.  Ramona graduated from Northeastern University (B.S.B.A.).

 

 

Mary Jo Dyer, Managing Director

 

Mary Jo joined Merritt Capital in September, 2005, after ten years in the financial services industry, primarily with TD Securities (USA) LLC, a division of the Toronto Dominion Financial Group.  She began there as an associate in the U.S. Media and Telecom Structured Finance Group, transferred to that group’s Merger and Acquisition practice, and ultimately became Vice President and Manager of the U.S. Media and Telecom Group.  Mary Jo graduated from the College of William and Mary (B.A.) and from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business (M.B.A).

 

 

Louis S. Wolfe, Senior Advisor & Co-Founder

 

Lou was Chairman of Deutsche Bank’s global financial institutions practice and member of the North American Corporate Finance Management Committee before he and Bob Cotter founded Merritt Capital.  Before Deutsche Bank, he was Head of Investment Banking in Asia Pacific/Australasia for Merrill Lynch, serving earlier as Co-Head of the Financial Institutions Group, and was a member of Merrill Lynch’s Investment Banking Executive Committee during both positions.  Prior to that, he was a Managing Director at Salomon Brothers, which he joined following Mellon Bank, where he began his career.  He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania (B.A.) and its Wharton School (M.B.A.).
